Tornado hits Florida county, downing trees and power lines

A twister hit a northern Florida county early on Monday, downing timber and energy traces.

The twister moved by way of northwestern Madison County to the west of Cherry Lake, WCTV reported. It then weakened because it headed towards the Florida-Georgia border, in keeping with the report.

The twister was noticed 11 miles from Madison round 3:15 a.m. EST, WTXL reported.

“We now have had a Twister contact down with injury all through the County. There are a number of timber and powerlines down,” stated Madison County Fireplace & Rescue, in a Fb post. “Our Crews are out surveying, clearing, and checking on residents. We ask that you just use excessive warning as a consequence of situations and reside powerlines. Many roadways are fully blocked.”

Madison County remained below a tornado warning till 4 a.m. EST.
